Turnkey Africa recently partnered with Oracle to host the Accelerated Path to a Digital Insurer Webinar. The two-day event, held on 5th and 6th August 2020 aimed at not only addressing the current challenges posed by the ‘New Normal’ but also pointing out the opportunities and showcasing some practical solutions including the TurnQuest Digital Platform that can help insurer’s not only cope but also fast-track their digital journeys.

Also speaking during the event were Oracle’s Managing Director of Kenya Hub, David Bunei and Turnkey Africa’s CEO, Kizito Makatiani who jointly delivered the welcoming remarks at the start of the event. Mr. Bunei pointed out the importance of partnerships in combating the effects of ongoing business and industry disruptions, remarking; “We believe that its partnerships that will drive and unlock the opportunities and build the transformation of every industry.”

Mr. Makatiani also expressed his excitement in being able to showcase TurnQuest Digital Platform to the audience at the webinar. According to Mr. Makatiani, “with TurnQuest Digital platform, insurers gain endless capabilities including the ability to quickly set up their products and go-to-market and become digital insurers in the shortest times possible, which is critical in the current crisis.”

The webinar which was targeted insurance decision makers and technology leaders within the East Africa region was well attended with more than 47 representatives from 37 insurance companies from Ethiopia, Eritrea, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan. The event was moderated by Oracle’s Territory Manager, Byron Osiro.
